They say you need to be a little crazy to be an actor and Ranveer Singh has all the traits of being one. It is a little strange to see a youngster like him, who is only a few films old, coming up with antics others wouldn’t dare. Ha ha… Woh crazy hai! Till recently, it was a thumb rule to toe the line when you are still making your mark in the industry. You go by the book, but Ranveer differs here. No, I am not talking about his career choices. They have been fairly obvious, but his off-screen antics that make him much more interesting than his on-screen persona.
It was Hrithik Roshan who started the Bang Bang dare, perhaps to look cool and interesting since his tweets and facebook messages are hardly so. But it was Ranveer Singh’s craziness that snatched the opportunity away from him. Remember his Main Aisa Kyun hu gig in the middle of a busy road wearing the Krissh 3 getup? Only someone with such a sense of humour can take up this dare so perfectly. You have to be a bit crazy to actually accept a dare like that when you are a fairly known name. And Hrithik, better luck next time!
Obviously, Ranveer wouldn’t just stop at that. He needs to get weirder still. And how does he do that? He gets roasted with his best friend Arjun Kapoor! Yes, it was pretty abhorring for a few but just because it had Ranveer Singh at his slang-slinging best, many people watched it. Like it or not, not everyone can take that kind of mud-slinging without flinching. Guess Charlie Sheen finally has an Indian competitor in the roast league.
And you thought that was enough! He took on the High and mighty Mr. Don’t-Mess-With-Me-Or-You-Will-Have-It-Guy, Salman Khan for his Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Khan remarked in an interview that Bhansali should learn on the set etiquettes from Sooraj Barjatya. Ranveer without being insinuating towards Salman batted for Bhansali calling him a great director. Clever and cautious Ranveer! Last time someone stood up to Salman Khan, he was sent into exile for a long time, only to return with obscure films. He is still struggling, by the way!
But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. His latest musings left everyone in awe of Ranveer. The man tweeted live from the operation theatre while getting his shoulder operated after he suffered an injury on the sets of Bajirao Mastani. He is an actor and his work is to entertain till the last breathe. Guess he took this thought a little too seriously.
